Secret services in Ukraine | Secret Espionage Centers
Report: U.S. and Ukraine operate bases close to the border with Russia. “German air defense system” secures at least one of them
By Reinhard Lauterbach

The U.S. has set up a network of up to 14 secret listening centers along Ukraine’s border with Russia. Formally, it is operated by Ukraine, but the funding and equipment came “110 percent” from the United States, the New York Times quoted a Ukrainian officer as saying. The article, which appeared at the end of February in the context of the tenth anniversary of the “Euromaidan”, describes how Ukraine’s new political leadership had served the US and British intelligence services practically from day one.

A key role was played by Valentin Nalivaychenko, who was delegated to head the Ukrainian secret service by the fascist Svoboda party. On his very first night in office, he had invited representatives of the CIA and MI6 to his office and asked for equipment and training assistance. The U.S. condition for closer cooperation was that Ukraine provide them with information from and about Russia. That is what happened; In the first months of cooperation, U.S. intelligence officials received “backpacks full of documents” during meetings with the Ukrainian side, but today the servers are full. There was so much material that the CIA residency in Kiev was overwhelmed with the processing.

According to Ukrainian information, Russian satellites are also hacked and/or intercepted from the bases near the border. However, the Ukrainian advantage in the recruitment of human employees is decisive. Ukrainian General Valery Kondratyuk, who has long been in charge of the Ukrainian side of the partnership, is quoted as saying that the US and Britain’s own agent recruiters are so “burned” in Russia that it is too risky for Russian informants to work with them; a Russian and a Ukrainian, on the other hand, could always “meet for a beer.”

The text of the US newspaper tends to downplay Washington’s role. For example, the U.S. side has stipulated that CIA information may not be used for deadly attacks. However, this was not complied with by the Ukrainian side; According to the report, the attacks on the two well-known Donetsk militia commanders “Motorola” and “Giwi” were carried out with the direct support of Western services. It was only when Russian agents began to carry out attacks on opposing intelligence officers in Kiev that the Americans began to have concerns about whether the matter could get out of hand – and endanger their own personnel in Kyiv. Despite occasional conflicts, however, the cooperation has not ended, and since the beginning of the war, all inhibitions have fallen for the USA anyway, writes the NYT.

According to the report, the listening bases have been built since 2016, long before the war escalated. Their existence has probably not gone unnoticed by Russia, either before the war, when Vladimir Putin publicly justified the operation by saying that Britain and the US had turned Ukraine into an anti-Russian outpost, or during the war, when the above-ground parts of these facilities were destroyed by Russian air and missile attacks. However, the heart of the spy network lies in underground bunkers in the middle of dense forests and is therefore harder to hit. Indirectly, the Federal Republic of Germany also comes into play here, by mentioning in passing that a “German air defense system” secures at least one of these bases.

Against the background of this information, rumors circulating in Ukraine become plausible that Russia is building up a concentration of troops along the border with the Sumi region in northeastern Ukraine for a new offensive in the direction of Kiev. It is likely that this is also a spatial focus of the espionage facilities, because it is the only place where the dense forests mentioned in the U.S. report occur.

THE MEN WHO KILLED JOHN LENNEDY III [sic]
A Summary of International Connections to Kennedy’s Murder
BY LESLIE SHARP
Hi Alex, I think you must be unfamiliar with “Coup in Dallas: The Decisive Investigation into Who Killed JFK” by the late H. P. Albarelli Jr. with Leslie Sharp and Alan Kent. Yes, the coup plot was bound together by a common ideology shared on an international scale. The Dealey operation to assassinate the leader of the free world was strategized by Hitler’s favorite commando, Otto Skorzeny from his base in Franco’s fascist Madrid where he had been ensconced along with his wife Ilse (who played a significant role in the plot) since the early 1950s.
During his investigation into the murder of CIA scientist Frank Olson, Albarelli came into possession of a datebook maintained throughout 1963 by a ‘special employee’ of various intelligence agencies, Pierre Lafitte. This record identifies ‘former’ OAS Captain Jean Souetre and his team including Jean Filiol, Alice Lamy, and Gerard Litt of La Cagoule, a secret Roman Catholic, anti-communist, anti-Semitic French fascist organization intent on employing terrorism as a form of intimidation, engaged in heroin trafficking and marketeering until Hitler’s invasion of Poland.
He also identifies Col. Jack Canon of Z. Org, along Robert E. Johnson, both of whom had a history with Gen. Charles Willoughby, and Col. Charles Askins, former TX Border Patrol and renowned sharpshooter who had been posted at the US Embassy in Madrid while Skorzeny set up shop.
Both Souetre and Canon surfaced during Dick Russell’s pursuit of the Richard Case Nagle story so when he was advised of the commonality found in the records of Lafitte, he agreed to provide the Foreword as well as a partial analysis of the 1963 datebook now found in the Front Matter of “Coup in Dallas.”
Oswald is identified on eighteen separate dates in Lafitte’s datebook, including a cryptic comment: ” . . . Lee is idiot but w/be used regardless.” Before pursuing the question of Oswald and implants, a brief excerpt from Coup might serve as foundation:
Albarelli deftly opens this book with the 1942 political assassination of WWII Vichy France’s de facto Prime Minister, Admiral Francois Darlan. His murder assuredly involved personnel from America’s Office of Strategic Services. As the war in Europe had escalated, the OSS, headed by General William J. Donovan, had assumed a role previously filled by the office of Coordinator of Information, the nation’s first peacetime non-departmental intelligence organization. Melding tactics derived from a French terrorist group known as La Cagoule, or “the Hooded Ones,” with the expertise of operatives from Gen. Donovan’s OSS, Admiral Darlan was vanquished in an operation in which a vulnerable young man Fernand Bonnier de la Chapelle, was designated the patsy who was meant to be captured and then abandoned. Albarelli astutely draws parallels between the setup of de la Chapelle and that of Lee Harvey Oswald in the murder of President Kennedy in Dallas two decades later.
The readers learn that La Cagoule, a secret Roman Catholic, anti-communist, anti-Semitic French fascist organization intent on employing terrorism as a form of intimidation, engaged in heroin trafficking and marketeering until Hitler’s invasion of Poland. Those same elements then organized the French version of his Gestapo, The Malice, whose support of the invaders tormented Vichy France for a half decade. After Hitler’s defeat and the liberation of Paris, General Charles de Gaulle ordered the execution of its leader, marking the beginning of what would escalate into a virulent animus toward the French president that persisted through de Gaulle’s own dangerous fall of 1963.
The details of this history may seem irrelevant to the assassination of Kennedy until Albarelli introduces the SS officer exiled in Madrid, Otto Skorzeny, best known as the mastermind behind the rescue of Italy’s fascist dictator Benito Mussolini, a feat that established his bona fides as a brilliant tactician. It is Skorzeny who provides a critical link in the chain of events from fascist Europe of the 1930s and 1940s to the racist, anti-Semitic politics that permeated Texas well into in the early 1960s. Confirmed in a series of letters sent from a Parisian amateur detective to FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover, in which he identified facts that were not yet in the public domain at the time of his writing, “only the former director of the CIA, Allen Dulles could clear Otto Skorzeny of his critical role in the assassination.”
We also meet a stateless character using the alias Jean Pierre Lafitte, who served alongside a near psychopathic killer, one of Skorzeny’s prized postwar trainers at his camp outside Madrid. Both men would end up in Dallas on November 22, 1963. Lafitte’s previously inaccessible and remarkable records further elucidate those connections by introducing us to the Secret Organization of National Revolutionary Action (OSARN), closely aligned with both Hitler and Mussolini, with a singular stated agenda: “We want to build a new Europe in cooperation with national socialist Germany and all other European nations freed from liberal capitalism, Judaism, Bolshevism and French Masons . . . to regenerate France and the French race . . . to ensure that Jews who stay in France are subject to harsh laws, preventing them from infesting our race. . . .”

Frank Olson’s son found numerous factual errors in Hank’s work about his Father and I found the same issues about Hank’s version of events in the JFK murder case. Plus Hank plagiarized my work on the case ad well. Skorzeny was actually in Spain for the entire period from Halloween until New Years day.

FACT IN DISPURE [sic -edit in response]: John Bevliliqua left a comment concernning Otto Skorzeny’s whereabouts on Nov. 22, 1963. The contention that “Scarface” had a role in the conspiracy has been made before, notably in Ralph P. Ganis’s “The Skorzeny Papers,” with a foreword written by Dick Russell, who has maintained for some time that the Nazi was allowed to settle near Madrid in return for performing certain functions for the CIA (ie. killing). I have a copy of John’s “Final Solution” book, but until I have new glasses can only struggle with a paragraph at a time. I’ve known John for years, and take any observation he offers seriously. We have a peer review process here, and disagreements are inevitable. Historians frequently disagree. That’s a good thing, not a bad thing. Hegel is seated on my shoulder urging me to let this dialogue stand. Who am I to argue? Personally, I’m very interested in the identities of the gunmen. If anyone cares to clarify, dispute or expand on allegations made below, please chime in. Jean Souetre has the ring of plausibility, especially given his flight from Dallas after the murder of JFK. But I am aware that the CIA left false trails, so I have always hesitated to speak with conviction about him. – AC

IMO Otto Skorzeny is a product of Camp King and Army Intelligence and consequently used by the real LHO handlers Col Boris Pash’s White Russians inside Russia and Dallas/Fort Worth along with Camp King alumni Peer deSilva and General Ralph Osborne at Fort Sam Houston Cubans handled by Donald Richardson and Ross Crozier Every stage departmentalized with major contraptions from the Dallas Police, FBI, and Secret Service.

David Starks
I’ve read about 200 books on the assassination and met and talked with many authors, investigators and witnesses over the last 30 plus years – sometimes lecturing at conferences and assisting with book writing/fact checking, including with Hank Albarelli, and find the allegations against Skorzeny and Lafitte to be very credible and corroborated by other information. I read 3 of Hank’s books and they were all masterfully and professionally researched and carefully presented with great journalistic integrity and a Sherlock Holmes investigative excellence. I believe the assassination is now solved as well as it can be for history’s sake!

Alex Constantine
David Starks Looking for the origin of the Skprzeny/JFK claims and historians who have offered confirmation. The most relevant is Ralph P. Ginnis, author of “The Skorzeny Papers.” His contention that Skorzeny was recruited to kill Kennedy because of his alleged involvement withEllen Rometsch, a Soviet hooker, is ludicrous. The book kicks off with a foreword written by Dick Russell. To be regarded as a stamp of approval? Ginnis’s extensive military bio includes this: “Master of Science of Strategic Intelligence from the Defense Intelligence Agency.” An advanced degree in the collection of intelligence. But the book, which claims to examine “the evidence” that Kennedy was killed over a Russian hooker, is devoid of actual evidence. Ginnis’s strategic intelligence bona fides explain the ludicrous premise, but why Russell would involve himself with the book, I can only surmise. Russell relinquished his reputation as an authority by vouching for “The Skorzeny Papers.” If you’ve read 200 books on the murder of Kennedy, you may have noted that the plot began to move in 1959, the year Oswald emigrated to the Soviet Union. The cast of characters is well-established, and the assassination machinery is tripped into motion at the moment Kennedy decides to run for president. Supporting documentation, aside from the Skorzeny papers themselves and a few primary sources, that comports with the known cast of characters, is in short supply. I’m looking for hard evidence.

David Starks
I have not read the Gannis book. The evidence for the Albarelli book is based on an account from a notebook of Lafitte not on Gannis’ stuff. Hank was originally co-writing the book with Gannis but they went their separate ways for whatever reason. Lafitte’s book mentions Skorzeny but I don’t recall and am not familiar with the Rometsch info in Gannis’ work so whatever you say is “ludicrous’ from the Gannis book may be true for all I know. I just believe the story told by Hank which makes great sense and seems very credible in my opinion. Can’t speak for Gannis.

Leslie Sharp
David Starks The references to OS [Otto Skorzeny] as well as his wife Ilse found in Lafitte’s 1963 datebook are clear indication of their role in planning for the assassination of Kennedy.
Public records indicate that East German femme fatale Ellen Rometsch traveled to New Orleans with Bobby Baker, Carole Tyler and Puerto Rican businessman Paul Aguirre in May 1963; Lafitte makes a note in his 1963 datebook of Tyler and Aguirre on dates that coincide with Aguirre’s 1964 recollection of the trip; Lafitte further references “Ella” R. specifically on twelve dates beginning in June ’63 when he is either privy to or responsible for ‘acting classes’ and passports for her and others; the final Ella entry on October 18 reads, “Ask OS re. Ella. — cable Madrid.”

Alex Constantine
I take it Albarelli read “The Skorzeny Papers,” and knew that the book is largely not about Kennedy. Much of it rehashes Skorzeny’s WW II exploits, including Mussolini’s rescue. Then we come to Kennedy and the Russian hooker – that is, allegations, no more than that – and … where is the evidence promised in the subtitle? And why is this book so haphazardly written and edited? Our DIA strategic intelligence specialist and scholar flops like a freshman college student with a hangover. But there are naive types out there who come away from the book thinking Kennedy was a salacious traitor, and Skorzeny, the adventurous commando-war hero driven by testosterone and tactical ingenuity, saved the country from a goat president who could not be trusted. This is the sort of revisionism found in The Hitler Diaries. Last I heard, Sjorzeny was forced to work for the Mossad. The British press has been all over it. I’m entirely open to the possibility that American intelligence pulled him hi to kill Kennedy, as well. But I don’t trust Ginnis, and now I’m wondering about Dick Russell. I’ve met him and he struck me as a dedicated journalist. I may seem overly skeptical, but that is only because the Ginnis book is a train wreck. Albarelli is another, separate matter. I knew him, too, and we got along pretty well. We did have one minor argument, and that was the end of our e-mail exchanges, but I never took it seriously. As I say, historians argue about small things at times, and that’s all it was.

Leslie Sharp
Alex Constantine AC: I take it Albarelli read “The Skorzeny Papers,” and knew that the book is largely not about Kennedy.
LS: Alex, I thought you were aware that Hank and Ralph Ganis entered into a collaboration c. 2015 under contract with Skyhorse Publishing. The focus of the project was Ralph’s recent acquisition of a batch of Otto and Ilse Skorzeny’s personal papers and Hank’s ongoing research into the assassination of President Kennedy in Dallas. By late 2017, they agreed to amicably dissolve the project with the understanding each would proceed with publication of independent manuscripts. The result was Ralph’s “The Skorzeny Papers” and Hank’s “Coup in Dallas” coauthored with Leslie Sharp and Alan Kent.
AC: But there are naive types out there who come away from the book thinking Kennedy was a salacious traitor, and Skorzeny, the adventurous commando-war hero driven by testosterone and tactical ingenuity, saved the country from a goat president who could not be trusted.
LS: Without trespassing on the privacy of either Albarelli or Ganis, numerous concerns led eventually to the dissolution of their collaboration: suffice to say Hank and I did not conclude that the “former” Nazi SS Commando Otto Skorzeny was a hero of Western democracy for having rid America of a communist-leaning president. In Hank’s own words, ‘Skorzeny was not a “former” anything.’ And regarding the role Ellen Rometsch played in the lead up to Lancelot Project — the plot to assassinate JFK in Dallas — we write, ‘It is important for the authors of this book to repeat here that they take no pleasure or delight in writing about JFK’s sexual exploits. We believe strongly that despite JFK’s private life, he remains one of this nation’s finest presidents.’
Relevant excerpt from his Introduction to “Coup in Dallas:”
. . . At the time that Ralph [Ganis] contacted me, I had read Dick Russell’s book, The Man Who Knew Too Much, at least four times, marking it up so much that I had to buy two additional copies. From Russell’s amazing research and work, combined with what I had discovered at this juncture, I knew we were tantalizingly close to uncovering the real story behind the assassination, but I wasn’t the least confident, nor did I feel like we were wading into hubris. Nonetheless, during my first few conversations with Ralph, I didn’t mention anything about what I had learned from Lafitte’s datebooks and from my hundreds of hours talking to and interviewing June Cobb.
When Ralph Ganis and I eventually met in North Carolina where I would soon move for two years to work on this book, he allowed me access to his Otto Skorzeny archives. There were thousands of pages. I spent over a week at his home carefully reviewing and reading through several hundred documents. We stayed up late into the night discussing the secrets these papers held. We wallpapered several rooms of Ralph’s house with link-analysis charts that, within days, resembled the assiduous maps created by artist Mark Lombardi. Stepping back and viewing these graphic displays of previously unknown global networks, we could clearly see that the narrative they spelled out was a virtual game changer that could provide a real accounting of who had killed President John F. Kennedy and explain the rationale, as well as exposing a huge and sophisticated cabal that controlled many of the world’s events. . . .
Eventually, out of the blue, Ralph decided it was better that only he alone write a book about Otto Skorzeny. It was a set-back time-wise . . . I should say here that our [Albarelli, Sharp, Kent] approach to the Kennedy assassination may differ greatly from that of other serious researchers and writers. Our motive for writing this book did not turn on hubris, achieving grand recognition, or hero worship of President Kennedy. As with my book on Frank Olson, our motive was simply to present facts related to solving what was a long-seated mystery. We are quite aware of the contentiousness at play in tackling subjects widely regarded as “conspiracy theories.”

Alex Constantine
Leslie Sharp Years ago, I was forced to sue a newspaper publisher for non-payment, and the judge looked at a list of articles I’d done and saw one on Kennedy. He said, “this is a conspiracy theory.” I told him, “Somehow, anything written on the assassination is regarded as a conspiracy theory that doesn’t merit serious consideration. This is unfair to Kennedy and severely limits an accurate historical record.” The judge had to think about that, but he revised his opinion. Thank you for clarifying the Ginnis-A;barelli relationship and falling out. My own disagreement with Hank was over the whereabouts of Sidney Gottlieb on one particular date decades before, in case you were wondering. Not a serious bone of contention.

John Bevilaqua
Alex Constantine Otto Skorzeny was in Spain from Oct 1963 to January 1964 according to a trusted researcher and could not have been involved in Dallas. Roy Hargraves listed the Top Five Dealey conspirators to Mary Ferrell after years of cajoling and Otto was absent from his list as well. End of story. H. P. Albarelli once researched H. P. Lovecraft who was once hired by the Vierick and Vonsiatsky crew in the 1930s to write another Mein Kampf for the Killingly, CT Nazi crowd. And that is the closest Hank ever got to a real JFK Perp in his lifetime.

Alex Constantine
John Bevilaqua John, if you have read all of the comments posted here, I’d be interested in your take on Ralph Ginnis. Military lifer, DIA, master’s degree in strategic intelligence. Thousands of pages of Skorzeny papers should be accessible s they are stored in a university collection in NC. Ginnis had all this new material, but wasted half the book regurgitating WW II history that has already been extensively written about. That is curious. Then he dwells on an alleged East German hooker, also covered extensively elsewhere. I’d like to see those papers and may, over the summer, drive to NC to take a look at them, if I have time. Has anyone said Skorzeny was in Dallas? Dulles wasn’t there, either. I’m curious about claims that the Agency had a parallel operation in Dallas at the same time involving Oswald, run by Desmond Fitzgerald, then director of Special Affairs – including assassinations – at the time. This may have been the reason Oswald thought he was sent to Dallas. The History website says that Fitzgerald was in Paris when Kennedy was shot to meet with “Rolando Cubela. Cubela had been a member of the Cuban Revolutionary Directorate during the late 1950s, and fought alongside Che Guevara at the battle of Santa Clara. He seemed to be in and out of favor with the Cuban government, and had been trying to defect since the Bay of Pigs invasion. Two and a half months earlier, he had presented himself to the CIA in Brazil as a potential assassin. FitzGerald was meeting him to set up the murder of Fidel Castro.” If so, Oswald must have believed he was in Dallas to play a role in the murder of Castro, as well. Fitzgerald had recently been moved from Latin American operations to “special affairs” to run the Castro plot. Ferrie would have been a part of it, as well, to fly an assassin in and out of Cuba. The CIA’s internal Manchurian Candidate memos to and from Edwin Land preceded the selection of Oswald to kill an American official. That was Kennedy. Oswald was implanted. the implant malfunctioned, so his role became patsy. He was led to believe that Castro was the target, then shots were fired in Dealey Plaza and he realized he’d been duped, or posssible a target himself. Fitzgera;d was then moved up to Director of Plans, interesting in itself, and died four years later at the age of 57. It was like a Russian nesting doll. Open one and pull out another. That’s how Willoughby thought. Open him up, pull out Weidenbach,

Alex Constantine Read the H. P. Lovecraft title: Marblehead which was co-opted by a Richard Lupoff and published under his own name. The Kindle version is only $.49. Vonsiatsky, Vierick and others met at the Vonsiatsky Estate in Putnam/Killingly, CT only 20 miles from Draper’s home in Hopedale, MA. I have proven that Draper was the model for Big Daddy Warbucks and Vonsiatsky was Condon’s Manchurian Candidate who lived in Manchuria with George deM at one time. And Roy Hargraves confirmed that Tom Ellis who was Draper’s chief henchman and later Jesse Helms Campaign Manager and also President of The Council for National Policy were the Dealey Plaza perps and Werbell, Bayard and Johnson were the shooters. And Echevarria admitted that he was funded by the Zionist Zemurray’s from United Fruit. And I do not plan to entertain any evidence which does not include these characters as the primary perpetrators in Dealey Plaza. Sorry to inform you of all this. Morris, Willoughby and Gale were organizers of the entire proceedings along with Rev GLK Smith and the other eventual Presidents of the CNP like N.B. Hunt, Ellis, Ochsner, Robertson, Meese and LaHaye.

John Bevilaqua
Alex Constantine I know nothing about Ginnis at all and care very little about his history.

Draper is the only known person to get $100 million from Rockwell Intl or any other DoD contractor for his role in killing JFK to allow the expansion of the Viet Nam war.

Alex Constantine
For the record, Ellen Rometsch, according to Evan Thomas, was said rumored to have been Kennedy’s consort by reporters in DC. But the FBI found no evidence that she was either an East German spy or a prostitute. Her FBI file reveals that she was questioned, and the salacious allegations involving high government officials, including JFK, could not be substantiated. But there may have been substance to the rumors. If so, it wouldn’t be the first time Kennedy was snared by a honey trap.
